About the Event
Hosted on the Doylestown Hospital campus (around the current flagpole), this event will honor the founders of Doylestown Hospital, the Village Improvement Association of Doylestown (VIA), and generations of people who have made our hospital what it is today. We will proudly commemorate the 100th anniversary of the dedication of the very first Doylestown Emergency Hospital on October 9, 1923.
The celebration will acknowledge the impact that the VIA and the community have had on the hospital and the health system while honoring its past, present, and future. Join us at 8am for a brief program and flag-raising ceremony followed by an opportunity for fellowship and refreshments, with a few other celebratory surprises in store. All are welcome. We look forward to celebrating this milestone with you. The event is free, open to the public, and will be held rain or shine.
The event will feature a community-wide celebration and flag-raising ceremony on the Doylestown Hospital campus. A new centennial flag will be raised on the flagpole. The winning flag design was chosen by the Village Improvement Association (VIA) by a vote. The flag-design contest was open to Doylestown Health Associates, Medical Staff, and Volunteers.
